Google Reader
It’s my aggregator of choice and has become a personal
learning portal that I dive into most days.
SnagIt This is my visual Swiss army knife, so much more that a
screen capture tool, great for livening up PowerPoint
and blog articles
Windows Live Writer I don’t know of an easier and more versatile blog
publishing tool.
Articulate Presenter This sets the standard in rapid e-learning, now well
supported by frequent blog tutorials.
MindManager This tool has become an excellent multi-object catcher,
and is great for creating dashboards linking to
disparate files. It works well with my tablet PC.
OneNote This must be the forgotten jewel in the suite of
Microsoft Office programs. I don’t understand why it
isn’t far more popular. It is fantastic as a rough and
ready repository for all kinds of nuggets and jottings.
Jing This is an elegant solution to online publishing of
visuals and videos.
del.icio.us I’ve transferred my affections to del.icio.us now away
from browser-based bookmarks. It’s the only way.
iTunes Podcasts through iTunes have become a rich source of
personal education for me.
TypePad My recommended blog platform. Blogging has become a key
medium for self-directed learning and TypePad serves me
well.
