Lynn Wernham

Lynn is a Learning & Development professional with 20 years experience in the corporate sector.. Lynn blogs at Learning: Thinking about the future of coaching and learning

Lynn's Top 10 Tools as at 12 April 2008

1.       WordPress - For blogging, learning, & networking. Recent changes have made it more flexible & easier to use

2.       Google Search - Really rely on this to access & filter information

3.       iGoogle - I use my personalised homepage as a mini reader with links to various journals, news, events and favourite url’s

4.       Facebook -  I’ve recently started exploring this and like the opportunity to get to know more about the ‘person’ behind the blog as well as linking to some shared interest groups.  [Lynn's facebook profile]

5.       Elluminate - After attending the connectivism conference various other events, I now use my free elluminate room to meet and share information with colleagues.

6.       YouTube - Some great presentations here have contributed to my CPD and ended up on my blog (as well as making me laugh)

7.       Skype – I have used this more & more for keeping in touch, conferencing and remote coaching.

8.       Wikipedia – A great source of information about just about everything. I find the references particularly useful

9.       Google scholar – I use this to search for articles and links to help with my own research & dissertation.

10.   Powerpoint – for preparing presentations and slides to use as a basis of discussion with others. I avoid it however in the training room.
