Ana Maria's Top 10 Tools as at 29 July 2007

  1. gettyimages - I love the images they have in their bank and these images enrich PowerPoint presentations and  blog posts

  2. Slide - This is a free site where you can download images or photos and make wonderful slides with

  3. Slideshare - This site enables you to share PowerPoint presentations by providing an HTML code which you can publish in blogs. Fantastic!

  4. FileDEN - This is the site I use to host different documents (word files, ppt files, audio files ...). You can create links to your files in the net.

  5. Voki - With voki you can create virtual hosts to blogs and websites for free, you can choose one of the standard voices or even record your own. It's simple and eye-catching. You can also e-mail special messages to friends by using these avatar images with voice.

  6. Springdoo - With Springmail you can send voice or video mails to anyone you like. Springblog enables you to add your voice or video message to your blog. Springcast creates a an embeddable box where you and other people can create voice/video messages together in one channel. Wonderful possibilities!

  7. YouTube - I couldn't leave it out. This endless collection of videos can help us a lot. I normally use it with another site, ESL Videos,  where I can create activities for the videos I have selected from Youtube

  8. toufee - You can make flash movies to introduce topics to your students. You can add photos, films, images, captions with/without sound, select transitions and make it into a movie. Great!

  9. Yahoo Groups - Well, if it weren't for the wonderful members of the Learning with computers community I wouldn't have learned so much.

  10. Scribd - A site where you can download files and not only get links but embed the files in your site.
