Launched in January 2014, TMT Predictions are Deloitte’s view of the key developments over the next 12–18 months that are likely to have significant medium- to long-term impact for companies in Technology, Media, Telecommunications (TMT), and other industries.
Note, particularly in the Technology section, that Deloitte predicts:
- Wearables: In 2014, consumers will be wearing more than $3 billion worth of newly purchased technology
- Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs): Enrolment in massive online open courses will be up 100% in 2014 over 2012 to more than 10 million courses – massive, maybe, but not as big as the media hype.
