Top 10 most influential e-learning bloggers

After many weeks of voting, the winners of the E-Learning Council’s Top Ten Most Influential Bloggers contest have been named.

I am very pleased to appear at #1 on the list alongside many of my own favourite bloggers too.

Very many thanks to all who voted for me.

You can view the full list of the 10 bloggers here on the E-Learning Council’s website: Introducing the Top Ten Most Influential Bloggers.

I am also looking forward to being a remote panel member at their E-Learning Symposium 2011 Houston later this month, where I’ll be answering questions about social learning.

Whilst I enjoy reading most of the people on the list, it seems hardly appropriate to include some individuals who haven’t posted since July or August and in some cases, have posted only a small handful of times in the entire year. I think the “council” might be conflating the terms “influential bloggers” and “people of influence who’ve ever blogged”.

Maybe it would be more useful to post a comment on the E-Learning Council blog post about this – after all as it was something their members voted on, and presumably whether or not the people blogged regularly or not wasn’t the defining factor on whether they considered the blogger to be influential or not.

Congratulations Jane! Why am I not surprised? You deserve it. I am one of the “influenced”.
