Jane,
Just want to say thank you for sharing so much information with those of us new to this world of blogging. I have begun reading your Social Learning post. I found your statement from social learning resources 1 of “In particular the use of new media tools is allowing individuals and teams to solve their own learning and performance problems” to very interesting in that the school I work with has done just that. We have begun to use the plethora of sites available to help solve problems or research information. For example, we have been researching the use of iPads in the classroom and found numerous schools local to us and far away that were using the iPad. After locating one in particular from Washington, we were able to Skype with the teacher and learn how she uses it in her classroom. I am excited to say we will now be using the iPad for our 6th graders and am very excited to learn how to use them. I am looking forward to continuing to monitor your posts to learn more about the social learning network.
