24 Tips for eLearning Professionals is a seasonal gift from the eLearning Network, an advent calendar of elearning.
It started on December 1st and throughout the run-up to Christmas, there are practical, helpful or just plain fun tips from people across the industry.
There have been some great tips so far, for example
- How to design thought-provoking interactions from Cathy Moore on Day 1
- Screencasting from Craig Taylor on Day3
- Lend me your ears! Tips for effective use of audio in eLearning from Peter Philips on Day 9
Today, 13th December, it's my turn to offer a Tip or rather 10 Tips, as it's called 10 Ideas to use Social Media for Professional Development (for L&D professionals). The introduction goes as follows
"Does your own professional development consist of attending a traditional conference once a year and reading a few magazine articles from time to time? If you haven’t already experienced the power of social media to connect with like-minded people and find out more about what is happening worldwide in the learning industry and L&D profession, here are 10 ideas to kick-start your own professional development using free social media tools."
