Comments from those who selected eXe as one of their Top 10 Tools in 2009

  • Easy to use SCORM content packager that can create websites also. Has a few built in features that are useful and can be expanded further.  Neil Prior
  • EXE is not only XHTML editor. It is also the authoring tool for creating eLearning content. You can create IMS package or even SCORM package without knowledge of HTML language and web programming. I use eXe to create my own educational resources and also I teach my students to use eXe for making their own web presentations. Fully compatible with Moodle. Vaclav Friedrich

Comments from those who selected eXe as one of their Top 10 Tools in 2008

  • "Very basic application to create webbased training modules. SCORM-compliant with enough pre-defined didactical interactions. Not a very professional application yet but a nice tool for organizations to explore the possibilities of e-Learning." Marcel de Leeuwe
  • "OpenSource: Create learning resources export it as a webpage, SCORM or IMS standard packages to import in almost every VLE. The eXe project was conceived to address the use of technology in the design and authoring of learning resources for the web. Initial research showed that while there are many web authoring tools available their usability and sophistication varied considerably."  Andreas Büsing
  • "a desktop XHTML editor that I use to create eLearning content"  Derek Wenmoth
  • "A great content editor for scorm packaged elearning courses"  Maria R Malmierca
  • "An excellent tool for authoring online lessons. I was amazed with the freedom to include multimedia contents with eXe. Without having any exposure to web related languages, users can created their course material."  N B Venkateswarlu
  • "eXe is a simple website authoring tool which can be used by course designers (part-time online, full-time teachers) to create the bones and basic content for courses. eXe is simple and robust and can create SCORM or IMS standard packages for integration into VLEs such as Moodle, WebCT and Fronter. I use eXe myself and we (my team) use it to show content writers how to use to empower them to create much of the course content."  Seaghan Moriarty
